    Sad that elections tear families apart. And that goes for all sides making discussions like this. The moment you stop dialogue you stop the change you want to make. Both pathetic and sad, I hope for a future of coexistance in American families.

      My father voted trump in 2016, and again in 2020. I have had a “dialogue” going with him about it since 2016. In 2020 my mother moved out. He said that was the worst day of his life. I furthered the dialogue and he put his foot down, not wanting any more political discussions. The day after Election Day he was celebrating the win while listening to the Woodie Guthrie protest music I got him for his birthday. I tried to explain the irony to him, and that was the last time I have spoken to him.
