The DnD aspect made the combat worse than Divinity’s Original Sin’s combat. DnD is probably fine on table top setting, but as a video game, it’s terrible. Auto/normal attacking was the strongest build in BG3…

I play it a little from time to time and it’s gets boring quick. Doing the same meta events uncountable amount of times isn’t exciting. Also the lack of RPG progression has drawbacks, but great for casuals. The power creep is just buffing classes, some can generate all the boons in the game. Adding new maps every expansion/update spreads out the player base, an old mmo problem, making the game look more dead than in the past.
Even on windows 10, Onedrive uploaded random crap you don’t want and then yells at you that the space is full and buy a subscription. It has to be the worst cloud service of them all because of the bullshit integration. It was easier to disable and remove it than to work with it.
Microsoft ignoring Linux exists is prime anticompetitive behavior. It causes problems that Linux installations have to go around. I learned that when installing a dual boot configuration.
With power comes responsibility, and I like that politicians should be punished for lying.
I tried a bunch of Bethesda games in the past and didn’t like any of them. I known I’m in the minority when I say that.
Most battery tech is just lithium ion batteries wired in series, like 80 laptop batteries. They regulate the temps so that the batteries don’t degrade too fast. Battery tech hasn’t changed much in decades, so you will see the same problems on your phone battery on car batteries. So, no, Tesla battery tech isn’t special.
I recently heard china is the first to manufacture sodium ion batteries for their consumer EVs. Sodium is supposed to be better, but I forget why.
It wouldn’t be too hard to go through every archived game and determine if it’s still available through corporate means or not. Those are the ones that are threatened to be erased forever if corpos get their way. The biggest problem is the money and means to fight against corporate goons and lawyers.
Maybe it’s just me but I prefer bezels, like the Sony phones still have a nice border and no front camera cut out.
Sad to see. Feels like Lemmy has no bright future with people in charge of it thinking russia’s and China’s government is good and ban difference of thoughts, opinions, and beliefs.
Withings is a company that makes some health related tech products, like a watch. I bought a scale from them 5 or so years ago.
I’m so ready for something like this. I’ve cleaned up my bookmarks and been waiting for alternatives to search engines.
It’s an alternative idea for a removable battery that they don’t want to give back to the consumers, not even the steam deck has this. Software updates are nice, but the batteries are still the main limiting factor on a phones usability. I know getting free battery replacements is asking too much, but their dark patterns are as well. Corporations have way too much leeway, power, and protections; I don’t care if they get hit hard with changes that help consumers.
I don’t mind looking through several pages of results, but the problem is that many results are the same web domains, which causes glazed-over eyes seeing the same results. So, I think it’s the search engine’s fault for this behavior, at least for me.
What about the battery? I doubt they support free battery replacements for 7 years…
I see this on all platforms, even steam. Only the negative reviews are culled and labelled ‘review bombing’ by the corpos.
I stopped using Hulu when it introduced ads over a decade ago and never looked back. The stock of that company did really well despite the cable-like inconveniences.
Paid version of Boost. I could mute things without having an account, because I couldn’t decide on which instance to select. Filters didn’t reset either when I finally got an account. Non-account browsing was limited to lemmy.word pov though. I’ll still shop around if an app catches my eye.
Some thing needs to keep the court in check and remove the bad apples.
