He’s safe if he works in MATLAB or other languages that use one-based indexing. He’s a dead man if she works out most lists are zero-based.

Misleading headline - the suspected radiotrophic ability seems to already exist in the species (which was identified in the late 19th Century; it’s not new, despite the article claiming it’s a “strange black fungus”) and several others, based on research with non-Chernobyl collections:
15·2 months agoI’m sure these idiots have no concept of the future. They want to burn everyone out in months to years for the sake of boosting their profits in the here and now. Doesn’t matter that if you treat your workers well (and pay them well) you often get greater productivity over a longer period.

Well, if we’re saving DB space, why not just use the generate_series function (assuming you’re running PostgreSQL…)?

That’s my point. I feel like they have been sitting on this for a while and didn’t release it ages ago because it would be one more thing to reduce the odds of people shifting from 10 to 11.
Right, so they wait until just after Windows 10 reaches EOL to release the patch for this annoying bug. Typical. They’ve probably had the solution ready for ages.

It was definitely one of those holodeck adventure stories. I was disappointed that the Hirogen didn’t show up as much in the later seasons (the extent of their communications relay network suggested that they used to have a vast territory), although they did come back to the fallout of “The Killing Game” in Season 7’s “Flesh and Blood”.
I would agree that Enterprise’s first season was generally better than TNG’s, but I mostly enjoyed Season 3 of Enterprise.
Really? I quite enjoyed “The Killing Game”… The Hirogen made an interesting addition to the series.
Argh. I was hoping to upgrade my server storage later this year…
