Have you tried the ps5 controller? Genuinely my favourite thing about the ps5. The adaptive triggers and the haptics are so good. The battery life feels better too. That was my biggest complaint about the 4s especially compared to the ps3s, those lasted for weeks.

I’ve been doing a lot of experimenting with builds recently. Been enjoying the blitzer electric shotgun for the bugs. Great chaff clear, kills anything smaller than a charger, or stun-locks it so it can’t move. Grenade pistol as you said. Usually stun grenades for charger control or keeping all the gribley inside an aoe. Depending on what my squad has either the flamethrower or anti tank. I usually end up running the anti tank so spear or recoilless. I’ve been enjoying the spear recently love the fire and forget but I do find it doesn’t reliably take down much in 1 shot unless you get it really well lined up. I always love a cluster bomb. Been enjoying the airburst and napalm for area denial/ breaches. Guard dog laser if I’m not taking a backpack.

It’s not the best community I’ve played with but it’s definitely up there. Deep Rock Galactic still holds the title of best online community I’ve ever been part of. HD2 is very good though, the vast majority of random games I’ve joined have been good experiences only a couple of griefers.

I saw a video claiming if you turn 90 degrees every time you hear it go off it doesn’t ever hit you. Haven’t tried it yet personally.

Pretty sure you just need to be directly in front of your target with the spear to hit the head. Don’t think I’ve seen the gif though.

I wanted to love Quantum Break so much but it was just a buggy mess on my pc, I spent hours messing with settings but it just wouldn’t run smoothly. I still managed to push through to mission 4 or so. Maybe I’ll give it another go.

I’m working my way through forbidden west as well. I’m really enjoying it. It’s always good to spend more time in an interesting game world. I really appreciate the more free form climbing system in this one, not quite breath of the wild climbing but way better than grab the yellow ledges only.

I love hearing about DF but it’s so dense that I was never able to get into it myself. Plus I struggled with the art, or lack of it on the earlier builds.

My wife was playing Ori around its release, we both got stuck on the first tree escape, where it floods. Absolutely massive difficulty spike for a relatively chill game to that point. Beautiful game though and I love the sound track.

They (Arrowhead + Sony) decided to make ps plus sign in mandatory on pc, a change as it was optional since release. Ps plus is not available in like 2/3rds of the planet.
Thereby locking out loads of people who have been brought the game.

The Wii brought gaming to the general public in a way nothing else had. Like most modern Nintendo consoles it was under powered and gimmicky but the gimmick worked so well for people new to gaming, point at the TV or wiggle the controller as you would to do the thing in real life was a huge step to making an abstract concept make sense to people. For longer gaming sessions or more “serious” games the Wii controls were generally lacking but damn if Wii sports wasn’t good fun.

I didn’t realise it did the shrieker nests. That’s exciting.

We had a squad wipe when 2 of our rovers scissored the party as we were covering a choke point.

So satisfying taking out a whole herd of the deer things with 5 or 6 shots to the exploding tanks on their backs.

I adore the walking dead games, they totally spoiled the TV show for me as the characters were soo much better. Lee and Clem at the end of the first game was such an emotional gut punch, one of the few times a game made me cry.

Very much not. It’s a big open world with lots of exploring. But of the symbols everywhere type of map. There’s a few boss fights but they are generally pretty fun. I can solidly recommend the first game. I haven’t played the second yet.

Of course he’s a silent protagonist in 1 isn’t he! I’d totally forgotten that.

I love the Dead space remake. I’ve nearly finished it. It’s how I remember the original looking and how I hoped it would play. I love that they added the full zero g movement from the later games and they fixed the asteroid shooting section. It’s actually fun now! The regenerator is still as much of a bastard as I remember too. It’s a brilliant remake of one of my favourite games.

Metal gear 3 is my favourite, it’s got the best combination of gameplay and story of them all. Probably the best boss fights of the series, so many good ones, I love the end and the fear. Fighting Volgen was great as a fight and he was a brilliant villain. The Boss was possibly the best bit, really escalated the game. 2 and 4 are both great. 4 felt like a good close to the series, though it had far too many cutscenes, I think it was more of a movie than a game. 5 was the best gameplay in the series by far though the story was unfinished and Quiet was silly, “You’ll feel bad when you learn why she’s practically naked”. Bullshit just admit you want a sexy lady in your game that’s still allowed.

Is Feedly a subscription? I don’t pay for it. Do you have to pay after a certain number of feeds or something?
