Please make a review 😅
A much hyped fanfilm from the post Enterprise/pre-Disco days where fan films were all we had to keep us going. “Renegades” had a good amount of hype around it because it had a real budget and the cast they managed to get. Unfortunately money can’t buy taste and the actual script is pretty bad.
Oh COME ON now I have to buy these too??
Is something finally going to federate with bluesky?
I hope we get a de-aged Shatner appearance (I don’t actually hope that… I think)
It really feels like they watched Star Trek Renegades and were like “YES”.
I echo what you said elsewhere, if I get a goofy action movie (or better) then I won’t be disappointed and it will be nice to see the Discovery-era one last time.
YES haha he really got some space smarts by then
Scott Bakula is a good actor but he sold the adventurous naivete of S1-2 Archer much better than the moody and distraught Archer in S3. Thankfully season 4 went back to the original spirit.
Surprised nobody’s mentioned this: https://reek.github.io/anti-adblock-killer/
I loved him in Layer Cake where he plays the opposite of Miles O’Brien.
From an e-waste perspective not having a battery is really cool. The article doesn’t mention this, but the plastic appears recycled too. I wonder how it types?
The horniess of the early 2000s makes Gene’s vision of the Original Series seem downright conservative.
The only episode I ever actually skip. Although the “A” plot isn’t terrible!
Meanwhile I’m over here still hoping for a Captain Proton spinoff to be announced…
I’m surprised nobody has yet jail-broken Samsung and LG TVs and made a custom Tizen ROM
I love the one where the bodies get dumped in the wormhole lol. Your essay also made me think of VOY’s “Mortal Coil” where Neelix has a “spiritual” crisis but as you said the crisis can be viewed as coming from the collective definition of what death means socially.
A Trek-inspired thought provoking essay is my favorite kind of post! Thanks for sharing.
Truly amazing how many journalists have drank the big tech kool-aid.
The replicators work very well, thank you.
