He certainly has an influence - he’s still the chairman of the board. He gets to decide who gets fired and when. In some ways, he found a way to have more influence, while being less hands-on.

So list a single peer reviewed study that shows a deep learning model with free agency (like a human)? I’m not asking for all of them.

I don’t understand why you can’t give me the name or the title of the research?

I know what it means already. And don’t worry, I’m not taking your word for it. Nor am I going to listen to NDT’s podcast or trust his guests.

Deep learning is not the same as what you described. I know what they are, but they are not “with agency” in any normal sense. Can you give me an exact example of one of these research models “with agency” and not just an entire Wikipedia page?

That’s called “source available”. FUTO basically did the same thing with their stuff after the community rightfully got angry over their use of “open source” in their docs.

Does that exist though?

An LLM isn’t capable of realization, not in the human sense anyway.

I agree that the military will always pay up, but you know that the bubble can pop without all companies going under, right? Have you heard of the dot com bubble, for example? There are plenty of those companies around still, and yet, the bubble popped.
To be clear, I’m not claiming this bubble would be identical. All I’m saying is that not all companies would have to go under for it to pop. It’s really the (wealthy) shareholders that get to decide when to pull the money, and that’s what would cause a bubble to pop, not pure revenue. Shareholders want a return on investment, which is something that hasn’t really happened yet (other than the circlejerk between big companies, I suppose).

Yeah, someone beat me to it, but it’s on F-Droid

It needs to crash. If it doesn’t crash soon, things will only get worse and worse for consumers. We’re already over the edge of the cliff (imo), it’s just a matter of how far we have to fall now. If it crashes hard enough, we won’t have to live with “asking AI for permission to use the computing platform”. By the way, an LLM isn’t really capable of that at the moment, and the sooner it crashes, the less likely anything like that will happen.

Have you used Breezy? It’s great.

This. I have a Garmin watch and it works perfectly with Gadgetbridge.

I would switch tonight but there’s not voice chat in the self hosted version yet.

Bummer that it doesn’t have voice chat yet in the self hosted version. Hopefully soon - I would probably switch if they had that.

DeFlock is just a front end for OSM, does that make OSM a “terrorist organization” too?

This slop is why the curl maintainers had to turn off their bounty program.

Yeah, that was kind of my point
How am I trolling by asking for legitimate evidence to cover your claims?
