I kinda expected the person behind it to be a Zionist themselves.

Completely unrelated but Isn’t lemmy.world one of the most pro-Zionist garbage server or something? Writing “allah have mercy on your soul” is beyond ironic.

1·1 year agoI have an AMD R5 8600g with the internal m760 IGPU, and with Citron I’ve been able to play “Super Mario wonder” pretty smoothly (no stutter) even without shader cache. Set emulation to medium+ handheld+ (the sitting that makes compiling shader cache in it’s own thread).

Piracy: ꜱᴀɪʟ ᴛʜᴇ ʜɪɢʜ ꜱᴇᴀꜱ@lemmy.dbzer0.com•Would you consider pirated games really safe?English
1·1 year agoIf You can afford to pay, then cool. Most people that pirate can’t afford the games/apps anyway, so it’s not really a matter of asking if it is safe to pirate but what site are safe to pirate from. Also, Pirates tend to be tech savvy from getting screwed a few times when they were younger (Ex: me), so a good chunk most certainly know how to detect viruses.

181·1 year agoThe users themselves. Everyone that use cracked software know the binaries could potentially contain malware, so the people that share these cracked software need to build trust from the community before being called “safe” and get recommended. If ten if not hundred of thousands people use the binaries from a specific “site” or “repacker” without ever getting a virus, then it’s most certainly safe to use/download. Fitgirl is the safest and most known repacker ever (as long as you download from the official site and not some shady copycat, that is)

It’s half exaggerated and half true.
Last year, there was some breakdown of Mozilla earnings circulating on the web and I vaguely remember them gaining like 600 or 800 millions (mostly from Google) while only spending something around 200 millions for software dev, and this was in 2022 (their revenue from Google increases each year for some reason). That’s 33% to 25%, so it’s either 66% or 75% of Mozilla revenue used for god knows what.
I feel like Mozilla is a big money laundering scheme at this point. It only exist so chrome isn’t a monopoly, and I pretty sure the CEO and several other workers are getting paid an obscene amount to do nothing all day while only 20% of the money actually goes toward working on the browser.

Gaming@beehaw.org•Other than Smite, what video games have a lot of playable mythological pantheons? I already know about Megami Tensei, Persona, and Fate video games, what about others?
1·1 year agoI don’t understand the question fully, but if you want to play a game with a complex mythological pantheon that affect gameplay based on who you worship, interact and fight with gods, aid someone into become an ultimate god, or become a god yourself, I’d highly recommend the rpg maker game fear and hunger 1 and F&H 2 : termina. I reckon the extreme difficulty isn’t for everybody tho.

3·2 years agoI actually enjoy retro gaming. Earthbound and mother 3 are my favorite games! The professor Layton serie is also great! The thing is, while retro games are a huge source of “free” games, they’re often too hard. I also found myself falling in a rabbit hole with an entire generation of retro games that nobody cares about anymore despite being full of great games : flip phone java games" (j2me). I highly recommend trying them if you want to play games on your phone without being thrown a billion ad and microtransactions. Just play the touchscreen variants and your golden. Some good games are : doom RPG 2 and Wolfenstein RPG, literally any game by digital chocolate.
thanks a lot for recommandation, sea of stars and pizza tower look 👌! and yeah my machine isn’t capable to run bigger 3d games. Lol.

The only way I can access games is by pirating them and I don’t pirate indie games unless they already pretty successful and it wouldn’t hurt them. Yeah, even that 2.99$ is too much when you live in shitty third world country.

8·2 years agoTried braid and got bored real quick.
Tried fez and didn’t even continue past the first 30 min
Tried Undertale, but basically knew the story already from spoilers, and it was kinda boring, uninteresting and too hard.
Played Crashlands and it was a grindfest that actually made me relieved that I finished the game, only to discover it was planet 1 of 3. 👉Uninstalled.
Really enjoyed fear and hunger despite being shit at the game and ended up just cheating. (Was still freaking hard 😭)
Finished and enjoyed Limbo.
I just want a game with a great story, a gameplay with medium low difficulty that isn’t a grindfest and isn’t too long ( usually caused by the endless grinding).

Glad to see people who still have the fire in them. Personally, I’ve lost hope when the so-called ‘Never Again’ country, Germany, is unconditionally backing yet another genocide. It wouldn’t even make sense in a hardcore dystopian novel, and yet reality has surpassed my darkest expectations.
