For business usage, it’s really just Debian and Red Hat as options, along with their derivatives. For personal use, add Arch to the list.
Other distros exist but people don’t generally need to worry about them, their stability or compatibility, etc. This includes developers as well as users.
The BBC are accused of bias “from both sides” because their job is to establish and defend the establishment’s preferred Overton window; or in other words, to set the standard for what “impartial”/“common sense” is held to be.
To the extent political beliefs are down to individual values and preferences, there is no objective centre, and moderacy amounts to a “golden mean” bias. On the other hand, to the extent political claims are able to be proven or disproven by science, at least one side must be wrong and only one can be right, and so the centre is simply ignorant.
This would make sense if Labour weren’t a copy of the Tories, and Starmer wasn’t elected because he was another hard right figurehead running when people were upset with Tories for letting too many BAME and female people into top spots.
In short, if you want any sort of human rights then blue and red are off the table. Have been since Corbyn was purged.
It takes government time and money to review, approve, ensure the safety of any construction, which they could be using to come up with a solution for life expectancy decreasing, ever-longer NHS waiting lists and medication shortages, etc.
They absolutely should be prioritising general welfare over this. The reason they’re not is because the park will put more money in their own pockets, which is, as records will attest, the only thing Kid Starver’s Labour care about.
Never mind Bedfordshire, where local government seem to do little else these days aside from cutting down trees and tearing up public benches.
I blame the Labour voters for clinging to the party Thatcher is proud of and not being willing to vote Green.
If every Labour voter had just compromised a little and voted Green instead, we wouldn’t have all of these problems.
