To be fair. Most people don’t choose religion. Most religious people were abused as children and are kept hostage by the cult. Leaving would mean stigma from their cult family members and in some captured countries, society as a whole. Religion is something forced upon you through abuse.

Most doctors I’ve seen don’t bother checking the records at all and I need to repeat everything (even tests) every visit. They also seem uncomfortable and bit lost when dealing with people. I thinks it’s a result of it becoming a highly paid, high status career, that is actually a service job. Brings in all the wrong people.

They don’t like to admit this to non cult members however, as even they know it makes them sound extra crispy crazy.

And is there a way I can control them without the manufacturer's miserable apps?English7·10 days agoNone of the brands I considered when buying a new dishwasher had any spyware nor networking capability. Electrolux and Gram are both excellent and affordable. My last dishwasher was a Gram that I bought second hand for 300€, used for 12 years, and gave to the new tenant of my old apartment because I couldn’t be arsed to remove it. Never had a single issue.

The TVs they build around them however suck ass now.

I saw a YouTube video of people having fun in a space game, and then I bought said space game, and played it.
I swear you guys are more obsessed with Star Citizen than the people who play it.

I paid for this game years ago and sometimes I go online and have fun with friends or just drink beer and do cargo hauling to relax. Like any other game really. Early access or not, people are having fun.
Sunk cost fallacy? What cost am I putting in, and what am I expecting in return? This game cost me a night on the town years ago that would’ve been forgotten at this point, and gained me a fun space game.

What does “normalize” mean to you? It’s not uncommon. I know several people who have done this at different ages, for different reasons. Are you saying people should talk about it more? Like “Hey, I’m Dave but my name used to be Jim”?
Usually people just send it the paperwork and then use their new name. It’s a normal thing that normal people do and it doesn’t really raise any eyebrows for normal people.
