The thing with tailscale is that its just a VPN connection – from my understanding. Why not just self host your own VPN server?
My guy, you got to look at it from the bigger perspective, the whole country will do anything buy fix actual problems
Trust me, in the south, half of them have guns
You can’t post stuff like this in a classroom… At least in the south
Backups?
Yeah Good point. the storage is the most expensive part. I did find these SSDs at a good price and with high reviews on Amazon which would cost $356 for 4 before taxes (a little better that 480€, but not by much).
Edit: Another thought would be to use the sata hat on the pi and get some sort of adapter to work with the platter drives but that would just add in the complexity and would likely require a PC power supply for the drives which would also add costs.
What part would be too expensive?
Pi 5, SATA hat, 4 SSDs and you would be good.

That’s one, but if you are priting a particularly delicate part, printing at an angle could strengthen the part significantly
You and also use crypmator to encrypt your notes inncase google ai starts reading them.
How many and what kind of accesories do you have plugged into it?
Reminds me of that XKCD comic
I personally have been trying to setup a music library just for my ipod classic, and no matter what I do I keep finding duplicate songs. I also plan to self host my music library to access from my phone when I don’t have my ipod, but first I want to get rid of dupes which makes this so frustrating.
What are the biggest usenets?
Dammit, I was completely asleep. I meant if there was a Lemmy alternative
Is there a data Lemmy alternative?
Edit: don’t post if you just woke up
Most of this sits squarely on Netflix’s fault. I had stopped torrenting when I started with netflix, but their sheer stupidity between the password sharing and constantly taking down titles, not to mention the fact the rest of the industry is going copying them has pushed me to setup a plex server and share between my friends. Yarr… Ye gang be back me maytees!
EDIT: Fucking LOL, Hulu just emailed me this…
USB is a thing
Honest noob question. I currently connect to my self hosted server using Twingate. How would this be different? can you give me an Eli5 what a reverse proxy manager would make my setup better?
