With quick googling about KOSKELA BRO… which reads on the scoop, it must refer to KOSKELA BROTHERS, which are characters of Remedy’s game series Alan Wake. I also guess the start of the text is SPONSORED BY, bringing the whole message to SPONSORED BY KOSKELA BROTHERS. Yet another joke.

I can read only one word somewhat from the sid. of the scoop which reads KOSKELA. It’s a Finnish last name. Don’t know why it’s there.

Haha, I think it’s from Remedy game studios, the “biggest” game studio in Finland and they sent Larian a award for their own pick for GOTY.

The joke goes a few layers deep. It’s a nod to Finnish sauna tradition by sending them a sauna ladle. (used to throw the water at the hot stones)

Secondary, it seems to be comically large.

Thirdly an the note says, Remedy’s own game was competing for GOTY and got beaten by BG3. Seems like a self-deprecating/humble joke in that regard.

Fourthly, it’s laughably low-effort, like a practical joke.

Edit: Read the letter more closely and it addresses the object as “Sauna scoop”, which is correcter term for it anyway.

Yes and I think that would’ve been a good way to roll the change. There will be people who dislike the change or the concept (me included). Roll the change quietly or posting about it on project relevant communities. Then on the site displaying the banner have a note about the project leading to further reading about the project, such as posting similar to this.

This way there would be information for those interested, not only about the project, but the change that had occured too. And ideological opponists would be blissfully ignorant about the whole matter.

But this is just one way to do it. Any way works. Have a good day. 👍

I understand the commenters point, even though I find it poorly conveyed. Some may find this a cool AI-generation project. Does it have anything to do with piracy, the point of this community? Barely if at all. So while it may be foolish and silly to berate the owner of the system, I think this is not the right place to publish about this project.

And I really don’t think people can be blamed either for bringing out this issue.

I explain poorly.

The Tor Browser has this setting to redirect clearweb urls to onion urls.

When used in the Tor browser, I can access reddit with it’s clearweb site (.com) and (with the “prioritize Tor sites” turned on) the url showing it as onion site (.onion).

Hope I understand it right and with the setting turned on, tor indeed “magically makes clear web site to an onion site”.

I daily drive FF Focus. When I encounter the discussed page, I just navigate to 'Open in…" and choose my TOR browser and open it there. VPN stays active all the time (Proton).

Checked, loaded with default settings (.com) and as an .onion site. Both work.

So Tor works as a whole for me for now, it seems.
