Nahh, this seems exactly like something that would happen from advanced text predictors, which is exactly what ALL of these LLM “AI” are. The instructions are in English, no doubt. Of course there is a strong association with English words despite, “in Mexican” surely being somewhere in the “instructions”.

This is just more ELIZA effect in action… Fucking braindead execs/etc failing to understand that it is literally just advanced text prediction that’s fed through a TTS “AI” driven system, that’s surely given just as tenuouse of a connection to Spanish as the text predictor…

You can really tell the people that still operate on that mindset. “Number must go up” is apparently pretty stupid motivation in most contexts!

What, you don’t like the main character immediately running into and immediately getting crushed on by a princess the moment her species shows up? Or being the main character to come up with a basic idea to appeal to them that a several hundred year old supposedly wise person couldn’t? Or that they run formal debates in the future like a dance-off? Or that they often talk like people from the 20th century instead of using more timless and intelligent phrasing?

Or that the show is written more like science-FICTION than SCIENCE-fiction while wearing Trek paint? … ok ok that one is generic and kinda’ applies to all new trek…

Fully agreed with that.

In fact, such regulations really need to go a lot further and make illegal straight up unnecessary subscriptions, too. If something doesn’t need actively maintained things outside of the actual product for it to function, then it doesn’t ‘need’ a subscription model.

Given all the fun I’ve had over the years with far less powerful systems, it’s not exactly a deathknell to gaming if it turns out that way.

My brother in christ, they put an “AI” shithead in charge. They practically by definition cannot have foresight.
