I was broken from the start, but also lucky enough to be born in a country that gives me the help and time to find what’s wrong and fix it without asking for anything back. Because my road to be able to work has been, is and will be long I have so much time to enjoy what I can (within the bounties of my illness) and games are a big part of that. Gaming has helped me so much, and I wouldn’t trade my unthinkable amount of hours exploring these cool worlds for anything else.

I never paid any attention to him, so I only know that one time he made some kids make a sign with heil Hitler or something like that (which from what I’ve read was just a joke in bad taste, he isn’t a nazi or major racist). I don’t like it either, ice cream has a freshness to it that gets ruined when you end the eating with just chocolate. I love chocolate of all kinds, it just isn’t what I’d want as the last bite after ice cream. When I was a kid I always ate that part first and just kept my finger on the bottom so it didn’t leak. I rarely buy ready-made ice cream cones nowadays so haven’t had to do this in many years.

Really? I very rarely come across it, and I use YouTube a lot. But when I do come across it I select “don’t recommend channel again” and dislike the video.

You don’t need to get just new games. Do what a ton of people do: wait till they’re on sale. There is literally no hurry, wait till any game reaches the price point you think its worth. And then you get the best possible version of the game, both in terms of patches, most of the time with DLC included and the modding community has had time to make stuff (if that’s relevant).

And it’s an even better experience to emulate too, you get lots of options for the same or better performance, resolution, better than default graphics options, mods etc.

I think it’s well described there, way better than Lemmy and most other fediverse things.

Bookmarks and services like Pocket are for different things. Bookmarks are for websites you come back to often. Pocket and other services like it are for saving links to stuff you want to remember and/or come back to once or a few times. Bookmarks are not made for having thousands of, while “read later” services are for saving anything and easily have hundreds, thousands, even tens or hundreds of thousands of things saved.

I’m a Borderlands fan, but it absolutely isn’t even in the same universe of quality as BG3. Borderlands is dumb, pretty shitty and lost quality with each game. It’s mindless fun, like B movie popcorn flicks.

They did steal artwork, but the whole aesthetic wasn’t stolen… the stuff they stole is a very small part of the game (I’m pretty sure, haven’t and won’t play it). I’m in no way defending them, but saying the whole aesthetic was stolen just because they used some text and icons from someone istället just dumb.
