The founder is Dutch, it’s hosted in Finland, and the hosting company is German
I’m such a freak that I’d enjoy that
That’s wild, I guess she was only popular in Europe? She had a bunch of big hits around 2010, like “Fuck You” which was about George Bush
The lemmy.world thread reminds me of a similar “racism on the fediverse” thread, and the occasional thread about misogyny (dismissive, uninterested and/or personally offended)
If you’re typing a single sentence it’s pretty common to leave out the period, this just keeps it consistent
Maybe it’s an accident but you left out your fellow students and the teacher, in my eyes the most useful resources
Can I blame the tech for using massive amounts of electricity, making e.g. Ireland use more fossil fuels again?
They’re fine clothes, sir/ma’am
Pointlessly snarky comments are one of the worst parts of Reddit and Lemmy and I fully support mods putting a stop to that. I guess the important part is to be transparent about it
Do we have numbers for the hunter-gatherer time that can even be skewed by infant deaths?

Mastodon also has the benefit that other platforms try their best to federate with it
What I think would be cool is following hashtags from Lemmy, or a.gup.pe groups
Is Tumblr still planning on joining? That would be huge

I don’t even see footnotes in the documentation[1], but they can be pretty useful. It’s ^[text]

EDIT: I see that the “fediverse” link for posts has been removed.
It’s still there, just not when the post/comment comes from the instance you’re on. Even though the post is to a lemmy.ml community, it’s from lemmy.world so that’s where the fediverse link goes to.
Somehow that avoids everything that actually makes TPOT TPOT to me (except the links to Rationalism and EA, but then you have to be aware of those).
Like the (scientific) racism.
