Steam is a publisher that is free to decide what is or is not allowed on their platform. Everyone is free to choose not to use Steam, just as everyone is free to choose not to play Horses, and platforms are free to not host it. Why should Steam be forced to host it if they have decided not to?
They mean the game is streamed from a server to the player, rather than running on the player’s hardware. This might not be feasible for every game studio to do, but would actually open up the game for more players to be able to play (since local hardware requirements would be lower).
I think this is a terrible idea for other reasons, but accessibility and anti-cheat aspects of it are not some of those reasons.
I switched to Antennapod a couple of months ago and it has been amazing. It offers per-podcast audio boosting, great for those quiet podcasters that expect their listeners to use headphones in a sensory deprivation tank as they whisper from the room across the building from their microphone.

But for real, I think you misunderstand the point of documentation. Even if something were truly, literally flawless, having documentation would still be a net gain. It isn’t only to fix something when it goes wrong, but explains how things are working. If the only way for something to be literally flawless in your world view is for it to be so self explanatory that an idiot seeing it for the first time still understands it perfectly, nothing in computing can be flawless in that way.
The pedantry on this point is so unhelpful as to be actively harmful to the rest of the discussion.

I’m excited for the Frame not because of the hardware itself, but because it is intended for SteamOS, and by extension Linux in general. Maybe it will mean more progress for VR gaming on Linux overall.
Like the tags with the plastic “string” that attaches then to the clothes? You’re not supposed to just rip that out, you’re supposed to cut the “string”. If that’s not what you’re referencing, then I have no idea the tags you are talking about, but I’m curious.

Retail. It’s 100% on the companies for doing this, but cashiers, for example, usually have bare minimum staffing. If one cashier is late coming in, that probably delays someone’s lunch or someone getting to go home on time.
It’s not right, it’s not everywhere, and in a lot of places when you show up doesn’t/shouldn’t matter. But people should be mindful of the other people they impact. Slack off all you want at work, I don’t care unless it starts making more problems for me and the rest of the team.
Sure, but when do you propose someone pick their own name? What are they referred to before that point? I know there have been cultures where what you are suggesting is exactly how they handle it, but in societies that have identification numbers and birth records, they need to be called something before they are able to choose their own name.
Like, the actual, physical logistics of what you propose doesn’t make sense to me. Normalizing changing your own name to something you choose later, though, does make sense.
But like, you’d still name a name before that, at least for official documents and such. Normalizing renaming is fine, but I see that as somewhat separate from parents naming their children to begin with.
It probably more is the difference of lust vs desire. Lust implying sinful attraction, or excessive attraction.
Also note, I don’t think that way about those words personally, but it was the first reason I could think of for why it would be included in the negative stuff.

v8 had v8 Splash and v8 Fusion since at least the late 90s, though I think they might be discontinued now? But it was tomato/carrot juice with berries and fruits mixed in.
When this happens to me, I sip it right then and there, burning my lips as punishment for letting it get to that point. I no longer have lips, but now it rarely gets to that point for me anymore.
Mostly /s but coffee is usually not so hot that I can’t take a few sips of shame to get it to a more manageable level.

The comment I was replying to mentioned being against censorship and hoping the game gets put back up on a Steam. While they didn’t say anything about Steam being forced to do anything, I was just following that train of thought to any pressure being put on Steam to put it back on. They have no reason to reverse the decision.
