RIP kbin.social. We hardly knew ye.
Mostly what I see with any level of frequency is troll posters spamming intentionally inflammatory memes in apparently random communities. I’ve reported and blocked every post like this that I’ve come across.
Anyone can feel free to correct me on this; I’m not huge into the shoe gaze scene.
I’d say not so much. Primarily because I generally associate shoe gaze to incorporate guitars predominantly as a textural element in the music where as Fazerdaze here still employs guitars to deliver clear, mostly undistorted melodies.
Again, I’m happy to be corrected on this if I’m not quite hitting on something key.
Lo-Fi/Indie Rock/Indie Pop
She lists Dream Pop as a descriptor tag on her Bandcamp as well.
Yep, this one is immediately and firmly in the never column.
Definitely post weird stuff. Please. Weird is my jam. Other people might down vote it, but who cares?
I’m all over the board as far as stuff that I like. Various types of extreme metal is what I most frequently have going. I’ve been trying to post a wide variety of different stuff in this group. To me, a general music group is by definition open to a broad variety of sounds. I haven’t taken things into the noise territory as of yet under the assumption that not a lot of people would be into it, but I’d love to see some of that as well.
I’d considered starting a new group centered around more fringe music. The metal community is fairly active, and this group is active. So that’s cool. There’s just some stuff that’s just inherently and obviously less accessible that it’d be nice to give a home with the idea that your expecting something a bit more challenging at the outset. I may end up doing that, but I also may need to figure out different instance to base it out of if I do.
Cool. I never took the time to check these guys out. This was great.
It’s one of those songs for me that I revisit every so often and play on repeat a handful of times. It puts me in a pleasant frame of mind.
Yeah, for sure. Plenty of parallels to draw between the two.
I think it’s neat that they updated his software to be able to interpret slang abstractions. Well on his way to being indistinguishable from an actual human.
I’m a die hard fan. One of my favorite bands. It hasn’t been til the last couple full lengths that I found myself luke warm on them, and even then, it’s fine. Just such a versatile band, where even if a release isn’t a masterpiece of whatever genre they’re aiming for, it’s still impressively rock solid.
There’s no arguing with the early stuff though. Bona fide legendary releases. If your coming from that world and can’t get on with their catalog after they started experimenting it’s understandable. At least Haavard finally came out from hiding for his solo stuff and Dold Vorde Ens Navn to scratch that itch.
It would be very on-brand, and probably entertaining, if these two send absolute bottom dollar lawyers to represent their case.
