The only thing stopping me is stupid vanguard for league. I’m close to just getting a clean league only mini pc and having my main one be Linux. I’ll have to check out bazzite. I play the usual minecraft, terraria, ff14, indie games mostly so hopefully they run fine. I don’t think I’ve played a AAA game in like 7 years.

Might be a bit dramatic. All sectors of industry are using more and more tech, we have more people in the workforce now that are tech literate than we did decades ago.

These are random numbers to explain my point. Look at it this way, in the 90s maybe 20 percent of people knew how to use computers but 12 percent of those were truly tech savvy and knew the ins and out of using a pc.

Now a days 90 percent of people know how to use a pc (regardless of the form it presents itself, be it pc, phone, tablet, etc) but only like 30 percent of them might be truly tech savvy.

It’s still a step up from back then, and because of the nature of tech in industry there’s always gonna be plenty of people who know how to use pcs well and if there aren’t then that’s just more money for us who do know.

I usually dislike them as well which is why I suggested it for patch notes. Those might be the only popups I don’t mind cause it let’s me know of all the new cool stuff that the app has.

Would it be possible for you to have a Lil pop up letting the people who use the app know? Something like, ‘Hey, if there’s anything you like or don’t like about the app PLEASE let me know I’m listening and want to make it better.’ maybe have it be at the top of any new download patchnotes.

Yea it left me feeling hollow for a while but I’ve found a lovely new girl who respects and appreciates me who I’ve been with for almost 2 years now and she’s also my fiancee.

I found out my ex of 12 years was cheating in a similar matter. For some reason she liked taking screenshot of conversations, I had set up Amazon pictures auto backup on her phone at her request cause she was afraid of losing 16 years of pictures. One day I was looking through the backups cause my phone was also set up and I was looking for an old picture I no longer had on my phone. I ended up finding plenty of screenshot of her texts with an old school boyfriend she had been cheating on me with for almost 2 years. Nothing physical as far as I could tell but I can’t say for certain it didn’t happen, emotional cheating is just as bad for me anyways.
I also saw that some screenshot were from Instagram and I knew her tablet was logged in so I checked and it was all there. Worst part was, that she would often be texting him when we were together doing things and basically telling him she wish she was there. Worst 3 months of my life while I got my ducks in a row so I could leave without issue.

I found out she met him at least twice on her yearly trips back to her home country.

Holy shit dude. Even with a guide I also couldn’t find it. Even playing multi-player with my buddy who already found him previously and knew were he was we still struggled to find him with a guide.

We’re mostly negative on publicly traded companies because their ceo is legally obligated to squeeze blood from a stone or they quite literally will get sued by the shareholders, plenty of examples out there. The exceptions are usually there because the previous owners wrote contracts, etc to help keep the company as it was prior but even then it only works for so long. I think people see the resemblance to anime when they visit Japan is cause it’s super clean in most Metropolitan areas and the rest of the world just isn’t used to that.

And also, it’s common for Manga and anime artists to visit actual areas in japan and take pictures to use as references in their works. So a lot of popular media is literally using irl areas, I visited a bunch of the sailor moon areas including the shrine when I went to visit.

Idk man, I’ve lived in a tiny remote village of only a couple hundred people with no water, electricity, plumbing or roads and mosquitos would go insanely hard during the summer. It was the village my mother and grandmother grew up in and I had the privilege to experience it for a couple years. It sucked.

I’ve seen those nat geo docs in Africa as well of remote villages where they trap mosquitos yearly during the swarm and make parties out of them to eat.

Small sample size but I don’t think urbanizing is helping them explode in numbers. It is killing their predators though, you’re right but it’s also killing them.

All of those things you mentioned are edge cases which you would still be able to handle yourself if they auto filled everything for you.

I use an online tax service which scans my w2 and filles it out. It still gives me the option to edit stuff but I mostly just check to make sure things look good.

Lucky for us corporations are people.

I chuck a backup of stuff in my storage for that reason. Even if my house burns down I’ll still be OK with those backups.
