The Signal server would send a backend notification to the client app via the Apple Push Notification Service. The app is then able to wake up, at which point it fetches new messages (securely) from the Signal servers. The app then generates a local notification with a preview of the received message. iOS is then logging those messages.

I don’t get it though. The worn out effect is so over-dramatic and visibly noticeable on this one set/scene but not on any of the others. It’s like they played into making the galley look like a complete wreck but didn’t for the other Enterprise sets. Also the worn effect is not just one part of the galley - it’s the entire thing.
Edit: also they refit the Enterprise in The Final Frontier. How does the galley get that wrecked so quickly but everything else is tip top?

Well I wasn’t trying to, exactly. Just trying to convey that RAID5 is not considered reliable and that I was urging the commenter to ensure they have a backup if that’s what they are going to use. Regardless of how you configure your NAS, you can always lose data by mistake.
Please consider RAID6 or ensure your data is fully backed up. RAID5 falls flat if a drive fails during resilvering the array.
