So, I have clients that are actively using AI on a daily basis and LOVE it. It is however a very narrow subset. Also, I’m pretty sure that a LARGE amount of Dollars are currently being spent on AI generated political articles.

This was my takeaway also. As if Chromium and all It’s derivatives are just going to not use daddy Alphabet’s ai tech.
I won’t even click on links to Twitter anymore. I had an account in the beginning but even back then the signal to noise ratio was stupid low. Now It’s all bots and nazis.
I went with the BezosBoxHomeAsssssistant. … it sucks too. The challenge to my mind is that it’s hard to make any profit on these things, so it’s hard to spend the dev and server $$$ required to actually make the systems do what they should.
I had two Pebble Steel watches. One just up and died one day and the other slowly failed as the buttons stopped working. I knew it was fixable, but with the sale to Fitbit happening, I Switched to AppleWatch. I do miss some things (battery life!) but all in all I’m not unhappy with my Apple Watch.
I try my damndest not to click on any links that lead there, let alone USE the service. I’m sure I’m still counted as a user to their advertising metrics but no.
To be fair, I’d have expected that number to be MUCH higher. According to polling he has about a 44% approval rating. Divide the ~342MM population of the USA and that means that .000058% of his fanbase have made accounts. Honestly seems a bit low. Here’s to hoping that he spends the rest of his life in prison for the crimes he comitted.
Actually the low cost part of this was that they weren’t upgraded cells. Just tested-good cells from other battery packs. Most of the time it’s just a couple cells in the bigger battery that have issues, and they take those out of the pool and make a good amount of $$$ because we were required to send back all of our cells. Assuming that of the 26 (iirc) cells that 3 or 4 were bad that’s a big profit margin for sure. The car worked great after swapping them out.
I replaced the main battery in a Gen1 Prius. Fiddly. Had to get a strong buddy to help lift it in and out of the car, but we did it in a long weekend. A full set of ‘used but tested’ cells cost something like $750 but that was probably 8 years ago.
Played for a couple years but it got tiresome. It’s still on my phone but I haven’t launched it in at least a year.
With Fox News somewhat on the ropes and a Dominion case left to close out and the general “second tier” nature of all the ultra-right outlets, maybe NBC is thinking it’s time to switch political teams. It’ll take a long time for “Democratic” viewers to realize that they are frogs in a boiling pot, and some people, even current “liberal democrats” would likely move slightly right if they were bombarded with more right wing talking points. If Trump wins, they can finish a pivot. If he loses, they can snap back pretty easily too.
I had a roommate in college whose mom would smoke 2-3 packs a day. She’d light a new one off of the dying ember of the last one. Chain smoker.
Great! Please make sure that your server system is un-racked and physically present in court for cross examination.
Not to mention the doors and corners…
I took my kids out, one is almost 3 and the other is just over a year. So few houses in our neighborhood had ANY appearance of anyone home, let alone participating that it took nearly two hours to get about 15 houses. In a pretty standard suburb. At least two houses that were heavily decorated had nobody home and no bowl out. Two also had colorful lights but when we knocks on the door they looked confused when there were two toddlers yelling at them. One just shut the door in our face and the other sort of stood there for a minute with his mouth agape and finally said “I don’t have anything”. I mentioned to that guy that he MIGHT want to turn his lights off or there would be kids all night, but walking past at the end of our evening, all his lights were on still.
I left a bowl on my porch and had two small groups of respectful kids each take a couple pieces each (video doorbells have changed the game a little).
