I have a couple hundred hours on Valheim from the past couple years, and I love it. I haven’t played since Ashlands came out, but I’m excited to jump into it at some point.

Ya, but that cringy-ass asking you out/kiss move on the water tower after dinner with his family was just awful.
Splitgate is still around, isn’t it?
If you want awesome early access games, I can definitely recommend Abiotic Factor, Going Medieval, and of course Project Zomboid.
AF is basically a mix of Half-Life and SCP, and it’s a 1-6 player survival game where you use office supplies and such to make fortifications and weapons. It’s about to get its first big content update in the next couple weeks, and has had a few smaller content updates since it went into EA.
Going Medieval is kinda like Rimworld, where you start a colony after a plague has wiped out a huge chunk of the general population. It went into EA a couple years ago, but it’s still actively getting updates with new mechanics, objects, weapons and such.
And I’m sure you know Zomboid.
Right? Like they’re not exactly the “family friendly” company just because they have simple games with cartoonish art styles.
Wasn’t Leisure Suit Larry on GameCube? And there were a few zombie games for the Wii and Wii U.
Yeah even in the US GameStop sucks now. Like at least 10 years ago they were decent, but now it’s just trash.
AoE 2.
That’s it, that’s the post.
Well, their previous game Cloudpunk is available, and there’s a story DLC that’s apparently as long as the main game and adds so much to it.
I mean that’s literally what it was marketed as, so that’s what everyone expected going in.
Honestly I’d say Fallout 4 did a good job with their companions and relationships. It’s not super deep, mind you, but the more you travel with a certain character and do things they like, they’ll start to have feelings for you, and almost all will take it in stride if you politely decline.
Also, Curie best girl.
This is kind of what’s killing Star Wars right now though. We don’t need 50 different character threads placed throughout six different shows that run parallel/in sequence with each other.
It’s also what’s killing the MCU.
I enjoy games that go for retro graphics, because with today’s technology they can do so much more with less.
As far as suggestions: any boomer shooter (Selaco, Supplice, Incision), others people have already mentioned in this thread like Signalis and Dread Delusion, and more like Tenebris Somnia which mixes 8-bit pixel graphics with live-action cutscenes.
This is the true reality. We can all bitch and moan, stomp our feet and proclaim we’ll never buy another game published by whatever company.
There are still literally millions of people ready and more than willing to buy the brand new game from that company. People on Reddit, and especially Lemmy, are insignificant drops in a massive ocean of consumers.
I’m stuck on the (apparently optional) castle nightmare/flashback part, but I agree. Sekiro’s combat is a fluid puzzle without relying too much on sword and weapon placement like others do (For Honor, Blade Symphony, etc; but I still appreciate what these games are trying to do).
I mean it is though. And you can set your world settings to have as few zombies as possible.
Bro what?
Or a living wage, or a decent education.
It did. But it was slightly more forgiving
There… were white characters in Origins? Did you not pay attention or even finish the story?
That’s basically what they still are.
