I really like the way my current company handles things. Aside from annual raises that take effect July 1st (currently waiting for approval, but if that happens after July 1st the raises are retroactive to the first), we have open bars (free drinks) every other month, company wide lunch events a few times a month, other general events (had a Juneteenth and Pride event this month). Oh, and all these events are paid time (you still have to hit your KPIs though).

A fairly well stocked kitchen (you could make your own lunch if you wanted to), coffee and espresso machines, sparkling water / flavored water one as well, snacks, the whole deal. Yes it’s not perfect but I’ve been happy so far.

Copilot / LLM code completion feels like having a somewhat intelligent helper who can think faster than I can, however they have no understanding of how to actually code, but are good at mimicry.

So it’s helpful for saving time typing some stuff, and sometimes the absolutely weird suggestions make me think of other scenarios I should consider, but it’s not going to do the job itself.

I use Groupy by Stardock for this. It’s a neat little tool that lets you make pretty much any application into a tab by grouping them.

It isn’t open source nor free though, and I didn’t even realize there was a Groupy 2 until I searched it to get you a link. For something I use daily, it was worth it for $10.

I saw a few others, but the ones I looked at were basically instruct layers where you’d need to add your own parser. I didn’t find anything (in my 3 minutes of searching) that offers an openai chat completions endpoint, which is probably the main stopper.

I believe that’s because those two APIs support function calling, open source support is still coming along.

I’ve only had to contact them for trust and safety reports and they’ve been pretty responsive, despite usually not telling you the outcome (the outcome is pretty easy to find out anyway). I’m glad I haven’t had to contact them for other stuff though, since I’ve heard it’s a nightmare.

How do the spawn rates work? I usually just put a path that has me doing all objectives not focusing on the main or sub in particular.

All I ask is if I get back to my ship it’s at the terminal. Having to walk for 10 seconds to get to the terminal every time I leave a lobby is pain.

The law is for devices that come out of the box with a weak default. Like buying a wifi hotspot where the default is “admin123” would be bad. The default being random and printed on a label in the device is probably what this is aiming to usher in.

I started shortly after release, but have invested considerably less time into it at only level 31. I haven’t noticed an uptick, but back around launch I quickly learned if someone dies you don’t grab their stuff - was TK’d a few times for that.

I have noticed an uptick in players who don’t understand the mechanics though. And that’s okay, they’ll learn. Just like I did.

Yes and no. A custom kernel with a patch usually referred to as a “ttl fix” can, but a good amount of ROMs have that in their kernel by default.

Still works for me as of last year. Now I use rooted android with ttlfix.

My old project I got to architect the frontend ran lean at around 300KB - part of our target audience had older phones so it was designed with that in mind.
