It would be great if publishers started doing this, however, this way you cannot sell Skyrim or/and gta5 *th time in a row
duh

Yes, see my other comment in this post, I’ve mentioned what you’ve said, however, you should know, ps3 gpu could use both vram and ram but CPU on the other hand didn’t, so it’s kinda shared actually
Gta 5 was running on 512mb shared ram in ps3 and Xbox 360
Antix Linux says hi, also remember that gta 5 and Skyrim was running on 512mb shared memory in Xbox 360 and 256+256 vram+ram on ps3
🤗 You’re doing great
Also lmms https://lmms.io/ for music, you’re doing some great post, word needs to be spread about foss alternatives to commercial apps so people can have some alternative
Shotcut for video editing
There’s whole category of software that runs without OS, look up “bare metal”, for example you can run web server on raspberry pi pico and connect it to ps4 to have offline jailbreak capabilities, mind you, raspberry pi pico have 264kb of ram and 2mb of memory (up to 16mb) and dual core 133mhz cpu
Brother, look up kolibri os, then you’ll see some TIGHT code
Yes, i hope so too, as for now, semiconductor lithography at home is impossible due how big and complex these machines are, so i have same opinion as you are
No, there isn’t yet, there’s the most i could find, but it’s not machines
We have open source designs (RISCV also have GPU designs) but we don’t have manufacture power open sourced yet
You had us in the first half not gonna lie
Problem is, new i7/i9 top out at 24 pcie lanes so old xeons is still bang for the buck in homelab sector
Mining boards give about 1-2 pci lanes per gpu because there’s a lot of gpus, also look up Nvidia mining gpus, they restricted to pcie x1 or/and x4 even if you put them into x16 slot
Chinese mining motherboard with any xeon cpu (because of abundance of PCI lanes in cpu) and 12x16gb nvidia p100 and nvlink bridges (p40 gives 24gb of vram but doesn’t have nvlink capabilities and slower gddr5 memory, p100 have hbm memory on the contrary which is good for llm) and 8x64gb ddr4 ecc ram, if you buy gpus from ebay and other components such as motherboard, CPU, ram, and ssd from AliExpress it comes quite cheap
While I used AMD since fx bulldozer and currently using laptop with Ryzen 7 5700u and really enjoying it, downfall of intel saddens me because they keeping the GPUs prices down, i mean, would AMD and Nvidia offer 16gb GPUs in 300$ price range if intel wouldn’t bring a770 16gb for 300$ on the table first, p.s AMD always deserved first place and still deserves it now, while intel is good as catching up player which keeping the prices down
I mean, Xbox one/series recently got proof of concept jailbreak, so… I think many people are on board with your thought
