I actually agree. I would cite the Playdate as a counterexample.

Huh - so it turns out people liked how smartphones consolidated all their various devices into one?
I guess the era of the hardware app is over…
To be honest, I’d rather have the lorum ipsum than the AI generated trash that’s gotten so prolific.
This way I can tell it’s BS immediately instead of 2-4 sentences in.
LI > AI
Purrfect
Turns out the beds are filled with the discarded shells from shucking peas. This is Pod Racing…
I had to wrap mine with rubber bands to hang on to it even without the drill
I’m not familiar with the Capresso Infinity, but I can compare my Fellow Ode 2 with the Baratza Encore I got my mom for Xmas last year. Both were purchased on sale for Black Friday. The Ode I got for $265 and the Encore for $120.
I’m not really a super taster. I don’t think I can tell “muddy” from “clear” without doing a direct side by side comparison. As long as the beans are fresh and not over roasted, I’m basically fine. This was the conclusion I came to after doing James Hoffman’s Great American Taste Test.
So with all that said, what I appreciate feature and design wise with the Ode over the Encore:
I know a lot of this is subjective and I also understand a lot of what makes the premium worth it to me is irrelevant to others.
Nope. That’s it. That’s the primary advantage. You can get a better grinder for less if you can forego (or byo) motor.
Something something Beowulf cluster?
So you could say, “in Soviet Russia the State TV launches you?”
You could very well make the argument that ultimately crypto is backed by energy
Crypto is just evidence energy was used. It’s not stored energy.
Are you saying the modern German anthem is the same as the Nazi era German anthem?
They’re pretty hard. I wouldn’t want to try to bite through a double thick one personally.
What are the odds than anyone in the household searched for the shows? Targeting ads to all devices on the same IP or even devices that have previously been on the same network happens.
I was able to predict that my mom had been researching “bunion shoes” after I started seeing ads, seemingly randomly, for them not long after she came to my house to visit.
I don’t think I’ve ever done a magic eye on a smartphone before.
Being able to zoom in and out adds a whole to dimension to it…
You can also just long press a volume button with the lock button (with a FaceID phone). I find this harder to mess up under stress.
Nope - I tested on mobile (iOS/ Safari)
Just so be clear, I was commenting that I haven’t had the issue you mentioned with image posts on old.reddit.com outside of today’s outage(s)
That’s not been my experience.
This was the first post with an image I saw when I went to see if something had changed:

It’s the opposite of what I said. I almost edited to correct it twice but both times I decided it wasn’t that important 😅
What do you mean by “the scrolled”?
This sounds so backwards to me. Do you know how you could create an environment for a less painfully anodyne userbase?
