My mom and I have talked about that kind of thing and she knows to call me directly if someone ever tries to say something happened to me. She’s not stupid, but maybe just not growing up with people constantly trying to scam her at every turn hasn’t prepared her for the depths these assholes will sink to, and they’ve gotten so much more sophisticated.

I keep kind of hoping I get this one. I’m ace, so I definitely haven’t been watching porn of any kind, and my house has changed dramatically since the last time google came by, so it would just be entertaining. But then I see people on nextdoor all freaked out that “someone has pictures of their house,” and it makes me wish for a large, extremely targeted sinkhole to open up under all these scammers.

They’re all almost the end of the thing but not the very end. Of course they’re the same thing.

I mean, if there’s a fully functional way to order online, why would you call? I just prefer a phone call when something would take paragraphs to explain or if there really isn’t an easy way to do something via a website/email.

My coworker spent 30 minutes trying to find another way to contact a vendor after I told her the easiest way to order the thing she needed was just to call and it would take 2 minutes. I hate calling too, but that’s just dumb. Or maybe I just like efficiency more than I hate the phone.

I enjoyed it. It’s definitely a different feel than previous AC games, so if you go in hoping for that, you might be disappointed. I think it’s definitely worth checking out, especially if you can get it on sale.

Guess I’m about to commit a bunch of hate crimes, then.

I’m driving, so weight isn’t a huge concern. I don’t know why I didn’t think about stuff for backpacking - that’s a great idea. Probably because the closest I get to hiking these days is the trail behind my house.

My car works perfectly with multiples of 5, so I prefer that. But you guys wanna hear something really fucking sick? I played a game where the volume would increase with DECIMAL POINTS. And it was borderline impossible to get to a whole number. It was always 8.17 or something. The devs were clearly some kind sociopath. Anyway, I noticed in the last update they changed it to whole numbers, so apparently enough people explained that that sort of thing is just insanity.

Depends on if you care about making set playlists. That’s the feature that generally costs more - Pandora is like $5 a month without that option, and $11 with it. I only listen in the car and don’t care about picking exactly what songs are on my stations, so I have the cheaper one, but for other people, that wouldn’t cut it.

I see that going so, so poorly for him. He’ll pretty much have to disable comments, but I feel like he’d hate that because he loves attention.

You know when people complain about privileged white men who always feel like they need to make every conversation about them? This is the man. He’s the one we’re talking about. If this isn’t a very late, bizarre April Fool’s joke, he really thinks he did something with this. What an absolute clown.

I haven’t listened to Madonna since the early 90s and don’t give one single fuck about her. As others have pointed out, it’s not doxxing if the guy publicly filed a lawsuit and his name is featured in most of the articles about it. His social media is (or was, as of yesterday) public and when you google him, his dad’s firm is one of first things that comes up. And they’re relevant because their motto appears to be, “we will sue somebody for you,” so it’s clear he’s following in his father’s footsteps. Suing Madonna, a performer who has had sexual content as part of her performances for 40 years is clearly a money grab and he deserves to be mocked for it.

Unless you are Justin, I’m not sure why you’re going so hard for this dude.

I’m not saying look this guy up, but I’m not not saying that either. He’s a complete dweeb who apparently clerks for daddy’s law firm (which looks like a bunch of ambulance chasers but I didn’t care enough to do any research) and is almost certainly just looking for a payday. Then again, that may have been the first time he was ever in the presence of anything even close to sex acts, so who knows.
