You CAN tecnically finish it in 4 hours if you rush the shit out it it, but by that virtuenyou COULD finish elden ring in 8 hours, so it’s still 50% of the base game.

Yeah elden ring SotA, I finished all the bosses and all the content but 1 optional boss on saturday, and the last boss yesterday. Good dlc but the balancing is kinda whacky and is has the typical complainers about difficulty, the typical defenders that have not finished the dlc, and then people that have done all bosses that know that the last boss is the most overtuned piece of shit to be ever crafted in ER. The other optional hard boss (bottom right) is also kinda stupid but it’s optional and it does give you SOME breathing room, but the last one is just completely un enjoyable.

Because elden ring lags and struggles to keep fps at 60 sometimes with a 3080, why even try to go higher. I’d also saybthay playing ultra wide gives a vision advantage and PvP and invaders being a thing I’d prefer not.

It’s not a game you go in alone. Usually you go in with a bunch of friends to play with people. And udualyl the toxocotybis beareable when it’s 3 or 4 buddies vs 1 dumbass. Once you get some experience, you are not a newbie anymore.

Sorry, I interpreted the “make sure I don’t miss anything” as “any optional content”, which with so much filler content is not the way to go. Using one not to miss areas and quests is great, I’m an avid wiki user anyway.

In any case, this game particularly does quite well in regard of when you start a questline or which parts you skipped. Both Alexander’s and ranni’s quests can be started in very different ways, either you stumble into them or some NPC tells you about it, and in both cases the conversations are different, although you can progress the same way. Besides some skippable parts. There’s nothing that breaks quests Al’s long as you don’t kill NPCs, I sometimes do some questlines after beating the final boss

It’s gonna get exhausting then because there’s a lot of repetitive content to get all the items. You don’t even need to do all content to get all the achievements. A lot of items are unlocked I’m caves, but you don’t need them all to get 100% and most of those won’t fit your stat block so, it’s gonna get exhausting to play the game that way.

You are playing a game of exploration and challenging encounters, not a checklist.

Which is great tbh, I do the 6 side content dungeons to get my shit, farm the bird to get levels, and then roam aroundbdoing filler content to test my setup. Or be summoned by friends and skip all that.

Most side content dungeons and caves are really similar but distinct enough to be enough to do while waiting for a friend to upgrade their weapons, or to test out mettle against a single enemy (gaols).

It’s a game with a lot of “content” but a very simple main path. I’ve done all possible paths with several characters, most of those in ng+2 and one in ng+4 I think. I asked a friend for help to get the end boss weapon to farm runes more efficiently with a new character to preapre for the dlc. The new weapons have me very hyped.

It’s not really about the hardware, is it? The option you mentioned won’t enable an alternative app store, it won’t enable access to android app emulators (which would be a huge boom in the open source app offering). The level of trust iPhone users give to appeal is wildly higher that what android users that tweak their phones give the manufacturers. It is what it is, but don’t delude yourself in thinking that it’s about what they do in the kernel level, it’s about the fact that they store tons of sensitive data in their american servers and that they have an obligation to share that data with the country, and as someone from Europe that doesn’t sit well with me.

100% agree, just take into account that most people you encounter on lemmy, specially on posts about security, are in that 1% that tweak stuff and if you throw blanked statements they will think you are talking to them specifically.

Oh, I assumed that you would be forced to type your password or have enough rights to install stuff in a computer, be it in person or remotely, so I assumed that whatever 3rd party program they used required to have enough access, and that apple would use the apple id as a master password, given that it’s what is being used to lock down the device itself.

The issue here is that while baseline apple is more secure than baseline android, a user with knowledge or a guide can improve the android security by a lot, whereas the apple baseline is also the ceiling. There’s stuff you can do with iPhones but if you don’t trust apple, you are kind of fucked.

Android people that mention security won’t be using a stock phone from the store, they will have disabled stuff, enables alternative stuff, or even installed a completely new android based OS, and this can’t be done with iPhone or iOS.

I’m with you that you should be able to log out remotely, but this is more of a failure in the IT department. You should have been given a PC with the apple ID already introduced, with your company mail and some password. How would they even access your PC remotely for security udpwtes if they didn’t have access to your appeal id? Right, they didn’t. So they gave a computer they didn’t have remote access to, not properly configured, and then forced you to either move or give private information.

It’s more about the fact that they didn’t have a webpage in their apple account where they could remotely log out, and the IT department had the physical computer so they had to either move to the department or give the department their personal password, which is bogus. Being able to remotely log out of the computer doesn’t seem to be that big of an ask.

I get thay the computer should remain locked if there’s no internet, but once the computer gain connectivity it should unlock if it was logged out in the user page.
