Pizza is always fucking insanely overpriced. I feel like this wasn’t always the case…

I wish Boltgun had held my attention like I wanted it to. I really loved it and want more but the loop didn’t remain as fresh as I’d wished. Maybe this DLC can do that and if I’m lucky they might expand the Boltgun series beyond Ultramarines who frankly get a way oversized slice of the IP attention.
Look, I wouldn’t mind a remake in whatever gamebryo engine they’re using today but my confidence in their ability to accurately portray the originals without missing out on the intricacies of them isn’t particularly high.
To name two off the top of my inebriated head; becoming a pornstar and murdering children are two things I can’t see Bethesda including in a remake of Fallout 2.
To quote Homer Simpson:
Lisa! If you don’t like your job, you don’t strike. You just go in every day and do it really half-assed. That’s the American way.
New Vegas gets a pass because it was made in 18 months.
As far as I recall, you need to perform 3 miracles that have to be verified (yes, I know lmao) by the Catholic church in order to be canonized (dubbed a saint).
Often times these aren’t major miracles with significant outcomes but picture a statue crying or the image of the person appearing on a slice of toast or whatever.
Some of those that work forces…

Ooooooh my wooooord. Are we back to the crunch? Oh here we faaaackin gooooo.

The mimics are there throughout the entire game. However about 1-2 hours in you get a piece of equipment that lets you detect shapeshifted mimics before you get close. You start encountering non-mimics pretty early on though. Once you get out into the lobby you get some variety in enemies which is pretty early on.
Prey should have been called Neuroshock. Yes it’s basically bioshock in space. Even down to the wrench.
I slept on Prey for ages and eventually worked up the motivation to play past the intro and it was such an experience I immediately did a second playthrough. It’s legitimately one of my favourite games. Heartbreaking that it didn’t perform well.
Holy shit 11/10.
Seconded for Haim Saban being a piece of shit. I’d like to add that Austin St John, Walter Jones and Thuy Trang were fired for asking for more money. They were essentially making minimum wage while being the stars of one of the biggest children’s shows of the 90s.
That would probably be because they hired martial artists to act instead of teaching actors to do martial arts. For better or worse I respect that decision. Even if Haim Saban is a homophobic Zionist piece of shit.
I haven’t used NVIDIA for drivers in years. You can use NVCleanstall to install them without all the crap.
There’s also the simplicity. I enjoy my PC for sure but for some people the ease of popping in a disc or downloading the title and it running perfectly on the first try is a major selling point. Troubleshooting my Ex’s PC for 2 hours only to realise I didn’t install the standoffs is an experience I can’t get on console.
Plex is definitely more user friendly. I would like to try Jellyfin again but I host Plex for my parents back home and I don’t want to troubleshoot Jellyfin internationally when I know they can just install Plex and log in on their devices and I don’t have to deal with it.
Definitely different strokes for different folks but I understand Lemmy is very big on FOSS so it’s no surprise Jellyfin has such a positive following here.
Ultimately I’m glad to have options regardless.
For a split second I thought this was an amber alert or something and I was genuinely impressed at it’s misuse.
One thing that always jumps out to me with each of these is that these videos are all just a sequence of 3 second clips stitched together.
I know all film consists of discrete shots edited into a larger piece but there’s something mechanical about these. Like I’m watching a slide show that’s just been placed in chronological order.
