No, the human perception of temperature thing is a myth. Originally 0F is the freezing temperature of a brine solution, and 90F was Fahrenheit’s estimation on the average human body temperature, and then the scale was adjusted so that it fit in better with Celsius reference points (freezing/boiling points of water).

No audio is horrible accessibility! What about the blind drivers who need to hear the ads?
/s, in case it’s not obvious
Weird Al’s parody version is not just pitch perfect, but also copies the video scenes so well!
Knocking is usually reads (from the header seeking), brrr is heavy writes.
Counter-argument: If AI code was good, the owners would create official accounts to create contributions to open source, because they would be openly demonstrating how well it does. Instead all we have is Microsoft employees being forced to use and fight with Copilot on GitHub, publicly demonstrating how terrible AI is at writing code unsupervised.
Missing one with a View-Master.
HeliBoard. However for swipe typing it’ll take some practice to get used to, it’s more sensitive to swipe accuracy and you may need to reset your muscle memory.
Do you know the main function of freshmen courses? It’s to make sure that every student has the same base knowledge before going into sophomore level courses. It’s giving the students from shitty high school backgrounds an opportunity to catch up with those from private schooling and those from school boards that didn’t provide sufficient challenges. These courses don’t need a higher teacher to student ratio, they just need students to pay attention to the lectures and talk to the TA if they’re stuck.
I don’t know how you extrapolate “no emphasis on learning” from “large classes”. The classes are large because they can afford to be large. They teach introductory courses, and their goal is to even out the baseline before the students go into sophomore courses. Freshmen come from many different education systems - private vs public, local vs out of state/province/country, fresh out of school vs returning to education after working, etc. This is also why these courses can be graded with standardized testing, because they set the standard themselves.
That may work in senior courses, but a freshman class with hundreds of students needs standardized tests.

Peter F Hamilton is fun to read, but boy does he like deus ex machina resolutions to his plots.
Along the space battle/space military route there’s the Vorkosigan Saga and Vatta’s War.
and his face doesn’t look right
It’s like they just left him there.
Lego Star Wars are quite bad for motion sickness, I find.
2D: Survivors/Bullet Heaven type games. Most are WASD to move, mouse to aim (if at all).
3D: Vampire Hunters. Since it auto shoots the focus is on movement: strafing, aiming, and avoiding getting hit by mobs. Dying early is expected, so no pressure on getting a perfect run.
Yeah, and it sucks that plants can be patented. Monsanto in particular can go die in a fire.
NAL, but as it was explained to me by a lawyer: Part of a patent remaining valid is demonstrating that they put consistent effort into enforcing it. Nintendo not having filed suit against the other companies (if the games are indeed found to be violating the same patent) lays groundwork for invalidation. This is for example the reason Pepsico sued farmers in India for cultivating their patented potato - not because it would harm their business, but because it would harm the validity of their patent if they didn’t.
And get rid of the pornoscanners.
