Uninstalling the application on Windows removes user data from the application data folders. The application is placed to a correct application category on Linux. With etherpad-lite the default is guest mode and no protection at all (but I’ve seen that with plugins user accounts can be made). With Hedgedoc and Cryptpad user accounts can be made and I think with that “private” protected pads are possible.

Okay. Got a source for that ? I had the impression from the SerenityOS developer that the donations came because of the videos that Andreas is making but I could be wrong.

You can try to follow the build instructions like mentioned in another comment but be aware that you are trying to build for a platform which has as far as I can see no official support compile instructions for the software. YMMV.
