We never move forward if we keep recycling the past. AAA is just a zombified corpse just shambling around altogether. The Indian double a space are the new AAA.

Does that mean sometimes you’re going to have a bad episode every once in awhile yeah, but it also means that you’re going to have great ones.
We all know the perfect balance between episodic and serialized television was Deep Space Nine. Because it had that perfect balance of you could do an episodic swing for the fences story or if you needed to tell a story over you know four or five episodes you could going the extreme one way or the other is always going to be a recipe for disaster.

lordnikon@lemmy.worldto Star Trek Social Club@startrek.website•Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Strange New Worlds | 3x10 "New Life and New Civilizations"English13·1 month agoOverall an okay episode but hats off to whoever snuck their D&D campaign storyline that they cribbed from for this story arc. Nice touch to write out Batel but also give Pike an Inner light happy ending. Only major critique I had was the villain was kind of one-dimensional like you’d see in the D&D campaign so would have been nice if they fleshed out that more before bringing it to the screen.
