Nightlys are not things you should recommend for production use. Especially for (potentially) non tech savvy teachers and students.

Actually while typing that out I thought more about the technical architecture of such distributed alternative streaming service that pays artists fairly, and it does sound like it could be fun to build.
But everyone in the fediverse already knows how difficult/impossible it is to get the average person to switch to open source software. It would most likely be a waste of time.
Because they have all the customers.
If you don’t like the rate the current major platforms give, you could choose to use one of the many alternatives that (presumably) exist.
And if they really don’t, I could build you one in a couple of weekends with all the open source resources and federation protocols available today.
But none of that matters because all the paying customers are on those major platforms. And until you convince users to move off those platforms, you’re basically their bitch. They’ll pay you whatever they happen to feel like paying you.
They ship a version of Windows 10 without any of those included. It’s called Windows 10 LTSC (Long Term Support Channel).
Try installing that to never be bothered again.
Like responsibilidade said below, it’s built on top of WireGuard and it’s the best overall VPN solution I’ve ever seen.
Yikes, people here are brutal to people with differing viewpoints, heh.
Doesn’t seem to matter how knowledgeable in the subject matter the person may be either.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So when I searched for that, this is the first result that came up:

Seems pretty enshittified.
Where do you normally get yours? Do you have brand recommendations?
Congrats. You won the genetic lottery and was awarded some top tier eyes.
A lot of people were not.
Ooooh. This is exactly what I want, and I want to help you make things better!
I’d like to brainstorm ways of making it opt-in, and making it discoverable without being spammy.
What do you use to coordinate code contributors to your project? Do you have a matrix channel?
PS: I don’t think you need to focus that hard on making it two way. What you’ve implemented so far is already useful. There are some porn subreddits I used to go to when I’m horny, and let me tell you that comments are absolutely not necessary!
Because they don’t know better.
To quote the mighty GabeN: “Piracy is a service issue, not a price issue”
This is awesome!
In the future, if you ever get tired of maintaining it, remember that todoist is a great app with home assistant shopping list integration on day one!
Yeah that’s basically Linux at this point
Seems to be somewhere between 0.5 and 0.7 billion, which due to a quirk of the English language are technicallybillions, making OP technically not wrong ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
