I stopped reading the article after it just became a list of apps. Felt like a thinly veiled ad, and if not, annoying af.

Your comment reminded me:
I was looking up when the VP debate is in the US, lamenting the olden days when a bolded date would simply appear at the top of the results.
I’m just clicking results and skimming for the date in the 1st paragraph, but nope. Every site is like fucking recipe pages now with this nonsense filler.
Anyways, third result down, DDG gives me this verbose MSN bot-written trash. It actually listed all the dates (of which there were four), that were considered for the debate, but not selected. The 5th date listed in the paragraph was the debate date.
It was a perfect example of completely useless information that a human would never consider including in an answer.
I think the commonly accepted theory is that your brain is sorting through the day, through problems, through life. Even just playing. This makes sense seeing as how quickly humans fall apart without sleep.
I was so tired once, that all I could hear was The Spice Girls Wannabe, and just the chorus because I never actually listened to their music, just the repetition of:
YO, I’ᒪᒪ TEᒪᒪ YOᑌ ᗯᕼᗩT I ᗯᗩᑎT ᗯᕼᗩT I ᖇEᗩᒪᒪY, ᖇEᗩᒪᒪY ᗯᗩᑎT
SO TEᒪᒪ ᗰE ᗯᕼᗩT YOᑌ ᗯᗩᑎT, ᗯᕼᗩT YOᑌ ᖇEᗩᒪᒪY, ᖇEᗩᒪᒪY ᗯᗩᑎT

And the beginning of films were cut off. Big Trouble in Little China starts at the poker table for me-- I never realized Jack Burton (😍) had a monologue at the start.
Methinks this moron started the pearl clutching:
😂 Space Karen
As someone outside of the US, I would say that the fallout to other countries is substantial. Not due to policies, but rather rhetoric.
Where I live, neo-nazis used to hide-- but now all the bigots, emboldened by Trump, are organizing. The right-wing opposition party leader walks among them and isn’t immediately shunned/removed. This is echoed around the globe.
But for people using YouTube to follow textile patterns, photoshop tutorials, repairs, etc. needing to pause frequently while still seeing the full screen is a big deal 😬
I use Ublock Origin and Firefox/DDG’s “view here”, so I think I’m safe…
Edit: Also, Google is greedy af, so it’s def cumulative with existing ads; the article doesn’t say otherwise.
Haha, but if we do, they will follow in a gross and painful fashion:
In Canada, 83% of the population received at least one dose. I believe we are 39M 40M now (lol, I was sleeping).
So 6,800,000 gonna keep the electricity going; grow and process food; and perform medical procedures? --Oh wait, all the medical people are dead. Speaking of dead, there aren’t any firemen to dispose of the 33,200,000 bodies! Damn, biohazard everywhere. I’m assuming their edjumacashun didn’t be gud, so I’m not hopeful of their prospects for rebuilding, but I suspect rage will take out who is left before it gets to that point anyways.
Edit: Math is hard
Thank you. I left Twitter when the petulent child took over, but I lament not being able to read local emergency info. I’ll check these out.
I’m super tired and thought for a millisecond that was going to say CLIPPY.
Sorry, I don’t know what that means, I don’t have Tiktok. I’m talking about the whole article being vapid, just multiple paragraphs that are lists of apps:
Is it like brand name dropping to keep people’s attention or something?
