I hate to think about what your familial experiences must have been like to believe that couples can’t love each other, have kids they love and who love them, and genuinely enjoy being around each other.

I’ve been on my project for 23 years. I haven’t written production code for ten of those years. There are still commits in the production branch with my name on them. Is both gratifying and mortifying.

I have read through book 10 twice. I have listened through book 10 once (currently half way through).

While I love Horatio Hornblower, I love Honor more.

I do not read science fiction. It’s just not my thing, but when War of Honor was published, Baen published it with a CD of all the prior books bound into the cover. I thought this was a cool thing to do and wanted to support it, so bought the book with no intention of actually reading it.

Well that plan didn’t work out.

You’ll discover as you get deeper into the series that even Honor knows she’s literarily related to Hornblower.

Nintendo and Game Freak execs have wet dreams about developing a Pokemon game this interesting.

They haven’t iterated on their formula since the first game. The 3D version could have been a 2D re-skin.

I have two of them, one in my GLI and one in my wife’s Palisade.

When I was growing up we had a little black mutt named Sootie. Around 8th grade I decided that Sootie should learn to play the piano, so I showed him how to get up on the keyboard. Arm of the couch to the piano bench, to the keyboard.

This became one of my mother’s favorite parlor tricks when we had company, “play the piano Sootie!” And off he would trot and go run down the keyboard.

Sometimes when he felt he was not getting the attention he deserved he’d go and play without being told.

100% agreed! It’s worthless I’ve spent some time trying to protect myself to the map and it’s nigh -unto impossible.

Stunning oversight, and I have no idea how the play-testers didn’t say “nope! Do something different!”

Don’t make the mistake of making this your first audio book, it will ruin all other audio books for you.
