We’re all completely pwned. That’s the only way to feel ok for me. My info has been compromised tons of times and no one notified me. I just accept it. I practice good security and I know that some of the companies on the other side don’t. I can’t change that.

I’ve owned a few devices like Orange Pi but really more as a curiosity that I never did much with. I have, however, seen discussions suggesting that when you move away from the RasPi ecosystem, support for various tooling gets more complicated because you’re in a much smaller pool of hardware and this makes them more effort to setup. I don’t know the validity of that, but it sounded plausible to me.
Just get a Pi. Just because you don’t need wifi doesn’t mean it won’t potentially be useful down the road.

Last September, SK Hynix settled with its own union to allocate 10% of annual operating profit directly to employees as performance bonuses for the next decade, while removing caps on bonuses. Based on 2026 profit forecasts, that translates to average payouts of $460,000-$477,000 per worker this year across SK Hynix’s 35,000 staff, with projections approaching $900,000 per person next year.
