I had some concerns going in, but enjoyed them a lot more than I expected. Good to see some familiar faces, especially Vance as he was one of the better Disco s3 additions.

I went myself about ten years back when I worked for a small electronics store. It was literally 70% slop and 20% cell phone cases. There was only one company there that we actually got excited about and looked at bringing in their products. Their products were much better than what we currently carried and our current supplier was a pain in the ass to deal with.
They were imeadiatly bought out and closed by the company we already dealt with before we could even place an order. We only ever received a demo unit.

Yeah, I know. Its just frustrating. After Ent we went a long time without any Trek TV shows and then we got Discovery. Although it wasn’t perfect it scratched an itch for a lot of people. Then we got a lot of shows. We were told that there was going to be Star Trek all year long, and that there would always be a show airing all year long. Now it seems that every current show is coming to an end or already ended and we’re left with a lot of unknowns. A young adult college Trek and maybe a non Starfleet workplace comedy (as well as the last 2 seasons of SNW I guess too).
I’m honestly going in hopeful. I wasn’t sure about Lower Decks when it came out and now its one of my favourite shows. I really hope it does turn out good.

So… on the first point, hasn’t every series had at least one character who has to find themselves throughout the series? Weasley in TNG. Nog and Jake in DS9, Harry was on his first posting after the acadamy I believe in Voyager, Tilly was a cadet in Discovery and later Adira joining the crew and trying to fit in, Uhrua’s whole story in SNW is that she doesn’t know where she fits in, Prodigy is about a band of misfit kids trying to find a place they belong, even Worf’s whole arc is about him trying to find who he is and where he belongs as well. This is something that Star Trek has always explored.

I have some concerns. This kinda looks like a bad Degrassi rip off in space. I hope I’m wrong and it’s actually a great show. Just remember, we lost Discovery, Lower Decks, Prodigy, and will lose Strange New Worlds soon, for whatever this is going to be.

Thank you. It was somehow worse than I thought. The endless looping of “I’ve got” in the background while the enterprise slowly flew past was a great touch. Keep up the good work.

Probably. Its most likely going to look like the steam machine except it’ll run on win11with an Xbox gui instead of linux. Probably be quite locked down in regards to software and store access as well.
Nope. Trust has been broken too many times. I don’t even buy anything anywhere near release anymore. I won’t buy anything anymore unless it’s either an indie game or its on sale and even then I deep dive the reviews and make sure I’m not wasting my money.

This is a much wider issue. So many people leave the default password on devices. I once installed an automatic gate with a pushbutton keypad at an airport and they wanted me to leave the default password of 0000 because it was easy to remember. I argued with them for 10 min, but they had the programming instructions and the airport manager straight up told me he’d just do it himself after I left, so I imagine that’s what happened because he seemed pretty thick and didn’t think that was an issue at all.

The regular price of Red dead 2 on steam is still the full release price even though the game came out 6 years ago. That way they can mark it 70% of and still overcharge.

And I read that Tilly is only in a couple episodes.

2 pip Kim is not to be trusted.

Lol, I guess that is a thing. They also just jacked the price on that, didn’t they?

No multiplayer paywall, but they’ll probably try to charge you some sort of subscription anyway that’ll end up costing more in the long run.

I played the demo this morning and really enjoyed it. It seemed a little rough around the edges, I had some problems navigating the ship and finding rooms, but it seemed pretty good. Its on my wishlist now.

Man, I was soooo excited about the PS5, but then it turned into such a shit show to get one that I just put my money into my PC and I never even got around to picking one up when availability became more reasonable. I don’t think I’d ever really want to get back into the console gaming space anymore.

I honestly assumed that she’d be one of the main instructors. Especially with Micheal saying something about Tilly being the Acadamy’s longest serving instructor (or something like that) in the Disco epilogue.

I found four and a half vulcans the weakest episode in my opinion, but a friend of mine loved the episode. My biggest problem with the episode, other than why was it really necessary, was actually pointed out by Kirk in the episode. They didn’t actually even act like Vulcans they were just dicks, Pike especially was uncharacteristically rude and would have never treated anyone the way he treated Spock in the episode.
Most of the season scored between 5-7/10 for me. Terrarium was an 8.5, Vulcans was a 4, This is Starfleet was a 3, but if it was filmed differently could have been so much better. I really this that This is Starfleet had one of the better stories and checks a lot of “Classic Trek” boxes for me.

I mean… There was at least 2 years between season 2 & 3.
I agree. Gaming has gotten to the point that its honestly better just to wait the 6 months, let the studio debug and actually have a finished product and then buy it when its 20% off.
