Banking apps generally speaking work, it’s the NFC payments via google pay that don’t and probably never will.

No, the hardware of Fairphones lacks certain security features.
I realize that I’m an asshole for telling them what to do but here’s what they need to do: They should drop all development of their own Android and put significant resources to making their next phone work with GrapheneOS.
Yes, I think so. There’s are interesting large scale trends in the book’s world, and even though the protagonists are powerful beings, they’re forced to mostly just witness and react to the events. The characters are deep and interesting and the overall plot is rewarding.
I didn’t like Witcher 3. I played the main storyline to Skellige and after a while of adventuring there, I just could not bring myself to continue the game.
I’ve read all the books, perhaps that has something to do with it.
Open source, I assume? Extremely laudable and I hope you don’t have to make big financial compromises for that.
Then again, application software wasn’t cheap. Given inflation, would you pay a thousand bucks for a lifetime license of a piece of software that didn’t get any updates ever?
Reverse question: would you maintain a program that you wrote 11 years ago if it wasn’t making you money?
I wouldn’t mind renting software, if only subscription-based software was such that you only paid the money for the subscription. It would be a fine way of using something for a short term, and a fine way to get some sort of guarantee that the software is maintained.
But you’ll also end up paying with your data that they sell out.
I’m more and more convinced that Doom 2016 was the peak. Eternal had that one song that kicked ass but that was mostly it.
I cannot recommend Bazzite. It’s an atomic distribution, which is pioneer tech that tries to make some things better but in effect makes a lot of things more difficult. FWIW, I’ve been using Linux for 20+ years.
Just go with regular Fedora KDE Desktop. https://fedoraproject.org/kde/

I can give you 10 people I don’t like and only one of them I know definitely to be a nazi.
That one guy is Elon Musk.
Perhaps you have not been following the news. Elon Musk owns Twitter these days.
That’s exactly what happens when a Facebook competitor (possibly an ethical one) rolls out these days. Which is part of the problem. Zuck poisoned the idea.
I don’t know to what extent they smuggle data out of the devices, but afaik a de-googlified phone such as Pixel + GrapheneOS gets you close.
USA is being horrible at the moment, but China has a LOT of convincing to do before I’ll let them deliberately have my data.
Best way remains to raise as high a digital moat against everyone. If you need a smartphone, get a Pixel, install Graphene on it and as few apps as possible.
How about neither?
What’s Plex’s use case? Why not just mpv locally?
What most people don’t seem to understand is that every Android phone is a Google phone unless you go through the degooglification.
I would (and did) just use Apple phones if it weren’t for GrapheneOS.
