Usually you can stop, drop and roll. But the fire damage is so strong right now that it’s almost an instant kill.

It also can arc directly into the visor and 1-2 shot them but it’s a bit of a crapshoot since it auto aims. I’ve had some luck with it when aiming slightly up (obviously the hulk has to be facing you)
These things make me panic a bit now when I’m running autocannon. Hitting the small face seems to work, but that can be a challenge. They’re not so bad to juke around to hit the backpack, but that gets significantly harder when they have support from other bots.
Laser cannon works wonders on them from a distance if you can maintain aim on their face for ~3 seconds
What’s the range on the laser cannons? I’ve been using the Quasar a lot recently since it can hit from forever away and is pretty safe if you start charging it from cover.
Infinite I assume. I’ve been able to take out turrets from as far away as they can be seen. It doesn’t do as much damage as the Quasar for sure and it can’t destroy fabricators, but the increased precision makes it better at sniping far away enemies since you can pick them off one by one faster than the Quasar’s 10 second cool-down time lets it.
Nice! Can you take out Shrieker nests with it?
I actually don’t know! I haven’t taken it on a bug mission before.
I also dunno if the laser cannon take out shrieker nests, but it can slice the wings of shriekers almost instantly so you can vaporize an entire wave of them very quickly.
Nice I might have to give the laser cannon another look. I hate those flying bastards. I usually run the Incendiary Breaker for bug missions, and the range isn’t enough to be effective against them.
