I’ve been exclusively using a K2 for my cheap-but-decent-enough setup at work (along with a Breville Dedica) and have found it to be pretty consistent. You do occasionally get some larger particles that slip through, but not enough to create any channeling issues, and it’s easy enough to use. Compared to my 1ZPresso J Max, I find it for 1/3 the price it does a great job, especially since I don’t have the super-sophisticated palette that would notice any really subtle differences.
Unrelated, is it possible to follow @coffee@a.gup.pe from Lemmy? I’ve tried from both the web UI and Voyager and haven’t been able to get it to work – this ticket suggests it didn’t work as of September, but wanted to check in.
@will_a113@lemmy.ml @coffee@a.gup.pe Until now I’ve always been using Porlex mini II, but sadly I broke the burr. I was pretty happy about it but I learned it is generally considered as an inconsistent grinder, so I looked for an upgrade in my setup and K6 seemed a good choice.
To be honest I did notice a certain range of dimension in the Porlex ground, but the resulting coffee always seemed good enough for me. I’m curious about the difference with the K6About a.gup.pe, I’m using Sharkey to post, so I don’t really know if lemmy supports the following of users. I guess it’s not possible, since Guppe groups are technically bot accounts, Lemmy shouldn’t be able to see them as communities
I replaced my Porlex Tall with a K6. I can grind the same amount of coffee in a third of the time with a much more consistant result.
