I have done research into what product i should buy three times and i am still not sure enough to answer this. That says enough about how confusing the modern tech market is.

They are definitly proprietary and a competitor to LDAC from sony. Finding something that supports both sennheiser and sony headsets without being overpriced is a nightmare.

The renaming while still selling it with older packaging for years has been angering me since it happend.

Honestly it would not be so much of a problem if things where actually labeled appropriately with all the actual specs and support features on the package but its more profitable to keep you guessing (and going for the higher priced one just in case)

They do the same thing with Bluetooth audio transmission usb, their “high quality audio” and “ps5 compatible” but does not tell me wether it supports aptx or not?

Also the whole “buy a product clearly pictured with usb A type connector, receive a usb C type connector variant, if lucky, with an added adapter.

I like to use dashes myself but the combination of overuse with other tells often does make me suspicious.

Which isn’t bad, even an intellectual can write things wrong, as ai can also write things right. Always read critically.

I didn’t think dashes where out of place here, but i did get a real ai vibe of the last paragraph. Is this something Bernie is really considering or is something to round up a generated list of scary scenarios. (Which are all existing valid concerns still)

People have hooked up scripts to automate trade based on celebrities using certain hashtags or other data for years.

A non insignificant portion of people has absolutely hooked up an ai to it. I don’t know any, but i take that bet in a heartbeat.

Some will do it responsibly, as an experiment with money they are prepared to loose.

Ai companies themselves might try this as an internal test, like how atrophic has claude managing a real vending machine (which got manipulated into selling tungsten cubes following customer feedback)

Others have probably completely destroyed their own lives. A few may have lucked out.

If its critical, don’t give it to ai without having a secured backup it can’t touch.

I wish more projects did stuff like this.

Its been a long time since i used plex so I can’t say how much “easier” its over there but compared to the days before streaming this little upfront work takes less time then going to a physical store to rent.
