Working my way through the Blood Angels Combat Patrol box. Finished up the Intercessors and Infiltrators last night. I was really struggling with the eye lenses on these guys for some reason. Kept going back and forth between yellow and black before I gave up and said good enough.

I can see improvement as your posts go along! If you’re having trouble with the lenses, I’d reccomend painting them black, then orange (carefully and leaving the black as a bit of an edge), and then yellow over the most accessible part. It should give you a simple and easy glow effect while making the lenses look distinct from the armor.
I’ve always struggled with the finer GW brushes and normally use either W&N or Testors, so don’t feel bad if you’re having trouble while using a “small” instead of “ultra ultra small” brush.
Thanks, give that a shot for better detail. My hands were just really shaky even bracing them while doing these.
