Side view of shield.
Thanks. It’s from a goonhammer.com guide and I’m just changing a few things based on the paints I have.
It’s supposed to be brown? Lighting probably makes it look weird.
King Julian was Alpharius all along
All of them and none of them. Schrodingers Custodian.
Female custodians are fine. It doesn’t matter.
The gun acted as a counterweight lol.
He’s just there for pics. I moved him back after.
I mean if you look closely at the side it’s growing them for sure.
I also love the Tervigon you can make in this box with his little kangaroo sack and Termagaunt buddy.
You have much steadier hands than I. Well done!
I don’t think so. There’s not really space between the rocks for “lava” and it’s hard enough to get under him with a brush.
Yeah, metal teeth and acid.
Thanks, give that a shot for better detail. My hands were just really shaky even bracing them while doing these.
I just did Stormvermin Fur over black primer with thinned Nuln Oil on top lol. Hair is Vallejo Black.
Got the idea from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJvEzDKPkMw
It doesn’t even come with their transfers. I got these from the upgrade kit and the eradicators.
Terminator Sarge and Captain coming along:
Infernus Sarge. He caught a little too much primer in the face.:
Still waiting on my light green to show up.
Below are my Salamanders WIP:
Just getting back into 40K over the past month or so. I haven’t played or painted since waaaay back in 4th edition when I was younger. Used to play Ultramarines and decided I wanted to be just slightly different this time around. It’s been really neat to see how much the game and models have changed since 4th. Back then YouTube wasn’t really a thing yet either so it’s been immensely helpful in figuring things out.
This is the Starter Set plus Eradicators in the back. I’m trying sub-assemblies for the first time with the Eradicators, might have made things harder on myself by choosing the option with the backpack cables but we’ll see.
Waiting on the rest of my paint to arrive so I’ll post more once I’ve made progress!
The landscapes made me think of Bob Ross and now I just see Bob Ross in power armor purging heretics with a smile.
In any case very nice work!
It’s nothing fancy. I recently switched to an undercoat of Vallejo Game Color Sick Green direct on the model then 1-2 layers of Warpstone Glow. Edge highlights are Moot Green.
I was using the standard GW method of Warpstone over Caliban but I found it to be a pain b/c it took 3+ layers of Warpstone to get no streaks and it came out kind of dark.
