Reminder that Bannon plead guilty for fraud because he created a fake “build the wall group” that asked for donations to build a racist wall. Bannon instead pocketed the money using it to live in lavish luxury.

Dude is opposed to schools because he needs more people to fleece.

If you want him to succumb to alcoholism faster send him whiskey. Preferably made in mexico to keep his blood pressure up.

What a great talking point from Mr. “Flood the Zone”. Let’s all focus on that instead of the Epstein files!

I agree; if nobody could read, none of us would have to read the stupid shit this moron says and we would all be better for it

Was wondering when they were going to start closing down universities for being “communist”. Looks like we’re heading to that stage now.

Given that their distractions have increasingly become as destructive if not even moreso than the thing they’re distracting from, it’s possible.

More likely that’s it’s just culture war bombast designed to reinforce the whole “everyone except us are evil and dangerous” groupthink that they’re using for cohesion, though, IMO.

I consider that culture war bombast to also be distraction so people don’t fight back against them billionaires.

Well yeah. That’s what I mean by ensuring cohesion: make them think that every vulnerable and persecuted population group is destroying their lives so that they don’t notice that the least vulnerable and most privileged of all people are the ones ACTUALLY doing so.

When I was young, an age ago, the word terrorist had a specific meaning, which was someone committing shocking acts to strike fear and hysteria into the general public and thereby influence society and policy.

Then 9/11 happened and although the 19 attackers were most definitely terrorists by the old definition, somehow the definition drifted until it meant “inhuman opponent against whom we are justified to suspend the rules and respond in any way we want to.”

Ironically, this usage itself is designed to inspire fear and keep people from looking too closely at what’s happening. “Oh no! Terrorists! Fine! Just kill them! Keep us safe!” Using people’s fear to justify whatever our military and government want to do comes ominously close to the old definition of terrorism.

It’s amazing how much damage Bin Laden did to America by killing what traffic does in a few weeks (or toddlers with guns in a decade). Trillions in debt, scared shitless and divided like never before.

Brits have been using it that way for centuries. Go dig through papers from the 1800s, you’ll find them describing anyone resisting their colonialism as “terrorists”. Legally, the US is working from the exact same definition that British common law uses.

That makes sense, since, as far as i can tell, the U.S. seems to be a modern hybrid of the British empire which spawned it and the German war machine it assimilated into itself about 80 years ago.

I remember growing up that everyone knew what Marxism is and had a thoroughly developed class consciousness. Everyone was capable of developing a critique of capital. He might be onto something. It explains why America has such strong labor, free universal healthcare, and no bourgeoisie.

That’s not a problem. Without trained and qualified engineers, architects and construction workers, soon the ‘prisons’ will just be a shoddily fenced easily escapable dirt arena.

I could not fucking believe what I was seeing, some months back, when somebody posted either a link to, or a green text clip talking about a tiktok video where…

… Some young adult, thought it would be cool to ‘pretend’ (?) to off himself by holding a loaded gun to his head and pull the trigger.

          A semi auto pistol.

This guy… not only did he not even check to make sure there was no rounds in the magazine, muchless drop out or empty the mag, he didn’t check to make sure no round in the chamber…

He manually flipped the safety off before doing this.

Yeah, he died, in the middle of an otherwise bragadocious display of being hard and not giving a fuck.

… The whole thing was so stupid and absurd that I still cannot actually tell whether or not he intentionally, or accidentally, offed himself.

You are probably right, but as someone with, you know, basic firearms familiarization and safety training…

Yeah, I am nearly incapable of imagining someone could be that fucking stupid, all by accident, its basically exactly what not to do, perfectly.

On the other hand, a lot of people are incredibly stupid, hence the Darwin Award.

I mean, if it were up to me, it would be illegal to purchase or possess a firearm without some kind of certificate you’ve passed some kind of firearms training course and also hold a first aid / trauma response certification.
