Settings > Appearance > Posts > Show full height images
It’s on. Yet, it’s the same problem.
You may need to refresh the feed to apply changes.
I did and it doesn’t work. Guess it’s just a bug. Shame. Since thunder has the best ui.
Hey there!
Could you tell me what version of Thunder you’re using and the instance you’re using? Additionally, does this happen to all images or only a few images on the feed?
If it only happens to a few images on the feed, I would try to increase the time Thunder tries to determine the image dimension size. Here is a quick link to that setting: Thunder Setting: Debug > Feed > Image Dimension Timeout
Well it didn’t work. Thanks for the advice tho.
I deleted thunder and installed Voyager. Anyway, I had the latest Github update. My instance is programming.dev. It happened in the previous version also. It does not happen to all images. You see the size of the squished down image, right ? If an image is higher than that size, it either does not show the full image or it squishes down. I would try to apply that setting once I reinstall. If it doesn’t work, well, there is nothing to do about it. Thank you for replying btw.
And also, it does not happen all the time. Images higher than a certain height get squished down only sometimes.
I’ve had this issue a while ago and it’s one of the reasons I switched to Voyager
Yeah, I switched too. Seems like there is nothing I can do about it.
I haven’t had this issue, but I use a more minimalistic/compact UI, that makes all the images square preview-sized so all topics (and media) are the same size. Not a proper fix if you like the full images along with the topics but it’s a workaround I guess.
E: “compact view”
E2: “show full height images” under the card layout too might be what you’re looking for
