I’ve never felt that this AI Overview has been production ready, let alone deserving of the top of likely the most popular and high traffic page of the Internet

The “Python” thing is obviously wrong but this meme also exhibits an example of AI getting things wrong in a subtle, insidious way that you wouldn’t even notice unless you already knew: the Bean won’t actually be registered in the Spring container as the class is missing a @Configuration annotation

    Classic

I believe this is indicating that it’s using the Python syntax highlighting.

Which is still a failure, don’t get me wrong. But I don’t think that AI truly knows the difference between one language and another anyway

lmao there are already very good “which programming language is this?” guessers but ratger than just use one they throw it at an incompetent black box.

      My new data structure:

Given a heuristic for determining data quality, it homogenises the quality of its contents. Data you write to it has pieces exchanged with other entries depending on its quality. The lower the quality, the higher the rate of exchange.

If you put only perfect data, nothing is exchanged. Put high quality, you’ll mostly get high quality too, but probably with some errors. Put in garbage, it starts poisoning the rest of the data. Garbage in, garbage out.

“Why would you want that”, you ask? Wrong question, buddy - how about “Do you want to be left behind when this new data quality management technology takes off?” And if that doesn’t convince you, let me dig around my buzzword budget to see if I can throw some “Make Investors Drool And Swoon”-skills your way to convince you I’ll turn your crap data into gold.

Very funny that Google decided to increase the cost of every search by probably at least an order of magnitude and this is the garbage they get in return

That’s just Google, it serves you the answer it thinks you want based off your fingerprint, browsing history etc.

Personally, I think the dumbest person would be the one that took the time to be snarky about a comment someone wrote about a screenshot of something dumb.
