No, it’s from Star Trek: Prodigy, the best Star Trek show in years.
Damn, that’s a big swing. I think Lower Decks has been one of the best Star Treks of all time. I’ve only seen a couple episodes of Prodigy so far, so I’ll have to catch up.
It takes about half the first season to feel familiar as Trek, so stick it out.

I have. I stand by my statement.
We can at least all agree that there’s a pretty big gulf in quality between later three NuTrek shows (Lower Decks, Strange New Worlds, and Prodigy) and the first two (Discovery and Picard).
I like the story, but as a kid’s show it’s a little bit on the "simple solutions always work " side of things. Like the first thing the kids come up with fixes the problem. It’d be like if in the other shows reversing the polarity or shooting tachyon beams worked right away, rather than being the first failed idea in the problem-solving process.
Also a lot of science ex machina going on.
I liked Disco, I love SNW and Lower Decks, and I’d agree that Prodigy is somehow still the best Trek of the current era. It’s actually amazing when I think about it.

And yet. Here we are.
Most are in better shape than I’d be. At least through the mid-2300s, most Star Fleet admirals were the captains that encountered the least explained and weirdest stuff the alpha quadrant has to offer. And they probably only became captain after seeing their old cap turned into an incubator in a alien zoo or something.
Or the early captains in older ships were exposed to far more radiation, chemicals, substances, parasites, bacteria, viruses, telepathy, hallucinogenic and whatever other unknown energies that were then unknown during their time.
They would have lived with these effects for a lifetime before it was discovered that they might have been exposed or affected by these exotic conditions.
Which may explain why many of them who became admirals were so unbelievably stupid.
Admiral Forrest erasure. He was a real one, always had Archer’s best interest and gave his life protecting someone even if that someone had been a major dick to his organization.
I feel like only Admirals Alynna Nechayev and William Ross were the only decent admirals, but then they actually had commands.
